Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 1, 2026
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what control you have. The short version: we collect only what we need, we never sell your data, and you can export or delete everything at any time.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, build a website, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, billing information, and the content you create on our platform.
We also collect usage data automatically, including pages visited, features used, device information, and IP address. This helps us improve the platform and provide better support.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Period.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve our services, process payments, send transactional emails (like receipts and password resets), and provide customer support.
With your consent, we may send product updates and marketing communications. You can opt out at any time from your account settings or by clicking unsubscribe in any email.
We use anonymized, aggregated data to understand usage patterns and improve the platform. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on SOC 2 compliant infrastructure with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 encryption in transit. We conduct regular security audits and penetration testing.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we retain data for 30 days (in case you change your mind), then permanently delete it.
Backups are encrypted and retained for 90 days for disaster recovery purposes.
Data Sharing
We share your data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform — payment processors (Stripe, PayPal), email delivery (for transactional emails), and infrastructure providers (cloud hosting).
All service providers are bound by data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing their service to us.
We will disclose data if required by law, but we will notify you unless legally prohibited from doing so.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can export all your data from your account dashboard in standard formats (CSV, JSON).
You have the right to object to processing, restrict processing, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@websitebuildergoat.com.
We respond to all data requests within 30 days.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We use analytics cookies (with your consent) to understand how people use the platform.
You can manage cookie preferences from our cookie banner or your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our practices change or as required by law. We will notify you of material changes via email and by posting a notice on our website at least 30 days before changes take effect.
